Year 5 South African Vocal Music Discovery Workshop

On Friday 12th June 2026, our Year 5 students took part in an engaging South African Vocal Music Discovery Workshop, delivered by members of Norbury Manor High School for Girls. These hands-on Key Stage 2 sessions are designed to give local primary school pupils an early taste of secondary school learning and creative challenges.
During the workshop, students had the opportunity to dive into rich cultural traditions and powerful stories conveyed through song. Rather than just listening, pupils actively experienced and gained a deeper understanding of the cultural significance of South African vocal traditions.
This wonderful experience links directly to our school value of Thankfulness, as we encourage our pupils to appreciate and respect the rich cultural values reflected in our society
