Breakfast & After School Club
At Norbury Manor Primary School, we provide high-quality wraparound care before and after the school day for pupils from Reception to Year 6.
Our Breakfast Club and After School Club are run by Norbury Manor Primary School staff, providing children with a familiar, safe and welcoming environment at the beginning and end of their school day.
Our wraparound provision is an important part of our commitment to being a community school. As well as supporting working families, our clubs give children opportunities to play, learn, develop friendships, build independence and take part in a wide range of enjoyable activities.

Our Wraparound Care
We want children attending our clubs to feel that they are still part of the Norbury Manor community, rather than simply being supervised before or after school.
Children have opportunities to socialise with pupils from different year groups, develop their independence and participate in planned indoor and outdoor activities.
Our provision aims to:
- provide safe, reliable and high-quality childcare for our families;
- provide a varied programme of purposeful and enjoyable activities;
- encourage friendships and positive relationships across different age groups;
- develop children's confidence, independence, creativity and cooperation;
- provide a healthy breakfast before school and a light snack after school; and
- ensure children feel safe, happy and included.
The school's safeguarding, behaviour, medical and other relevant policies continue to apply during Breakfast Club and After School Club.

Parents/carers are not charged the first £6.00 After School Club band when their child attends another club held at Norbury Manor Primary School immediately before joining After School Club. Any separate charge for the extracurricular club will still apply.
Failure to pay fees when required may result in the child's place being withdrawn and offered to another child on the waiting list.
Fees may be reviewed. Parents/carers will be given at least one term's notice of any changes.
More Than Childcare: Our Activity ProgrammeAfter School Club offers children a varied programme of activities across the week.
Activities change throughout the year and are planned around our half-termly themes. Children have opportunities to take part in areas including:
Sport & Physical Activity • Art & Design • Computing • Science • Natural Norbury • Music • Cooking • BSL • Geography • History • PSHE • Film & Creative Challenges
This is where I would now put the six colourful activity maps we have created. Rather than the old Monday–Friday list, I would have a heading such as:
2026–2027 Activity Plans
Autumn 1A – New Beginnings
Autumn 1 Term 1a
Autumn 1B – Celebrations
Autumn 2 Term 1b
Spring 2A – Coming Together
Spring 1 Term 2a

Collection Arrangements
Children must be collected by a parent/carer or by an authorised person aged 16 or over.
If someone who has not been authorised arrives to collect a child, we will contact the parent/carer before allowing the child to leave. If we cannot obtain confirmation, the child will remain in our care.
Children should be collected from the Lunch Hall.
Admissions & Registration
Breakfast Club and After School Club are available to children in Reception to Year 6 who attend Norbury Manor Primary School, subject to available places.
Parents/carers must complete the Breakfast Club and After School Club Registration Form before their child can attend. The registration form can be found at the bottom of this page.
When registering, parents/carers must provide up-to-date information about:
- the days/sessions required;
- parent/carer and emergency contact details;
- authorised adults who may collect their child;
- dietary requirements and allergies;
- medical conditions and medication;
- SEND, disability or additional needs; and
- any other information we need to care for their child safely.
Parents/carers are responsible for informing the school promptly if any of this information changes.
Allocation of Places
Completing a registration form does not automatically guarantee a place.
Where there are more applications than available places, priority will be given in the following order:
- Children already attending the club, provided re-registration is completed by the published deadline.
- Children of working parents/carers requiring regular wraparound care for three or more days each week.
- Children of working parents/carers requiring regular wraparound care for one or two days each week.
- Children whose families require other regular weekly childcare arrangements.
- Where children have equal priority, the date and time the completed application was received will be used to determine priority.
If a place is not immediately available, your child will be added to our waiting list. When a place becomes available, it will be offered to the child with the highest priority in accordance with the criteria above.
Inclusion & Additional Needs
We want our Breakfast Club and After School Club to be accessible and welcoming to all our pupils.
Having SEND, a disability, medical condition or personal-care need will not in itself prevent a child from attending.
Please tell us about your child's needs when completing the registration form. Where additional support or arrangements may be required, we will work with you and relevant school staff to consider appropriate reasonable adjustments.
Where necessary, we may agree an individual healthcare plan, personal-care plan or risk assessment before your child begins attending.
Each child's needs will be considered individually so that we can determine how they can participate safely and successfully in the provision.
Behaviour & Keeping Everyone Safe
The same high expectations for behaviour that apply during the school day continue during Breakfast Club and After School Club.
Children are expected to follow our school rules, show our RESPECT values and behave in a way that keeps themselves and others safe.
Where there are concerns about behaviour, we will work with the child and their family and consider any SEND, disability, individual circumstances or reasonable adjustments that may be required.
In exceptional circumstances, where behaviour presents a significant and unmanageable risk to the child, other children or staff, it may be necessary to suspend or withdraw a club place. Any decision will be considered individually and parents/carers will be informed.
Medical Needs, Allergies & Illness
Please ensure that we have up-to-date information about your child's:
- medical conditions;
- allergies;
- dietary requirements;
- medication;
- inhalers; and
- adrenaline auto-injectors, where prescribed.
If your child becomes unwell while attending Breakfast Club or After School Club, we will contact you and may ask you to collect them.
FeedbackWe value feedback from children and families and use it to help us continue to improve our Breakfast Club and After School Club provision.
If you have a question, suggestion or concern, please speak to a member of the club team or contact the school office
