Year 4 Road Safety Day
On Monday 7th October, Year 4 took part in a 'Pedestrian Day.'
The day was run by an organisation called For 2 Feet, and The Croydon Road Safety Team.
It provided our Year 4 pupils with the opportunity to have pedestrian skills training.
The children were taken in groups of 15 at a time with 2 experienced trainers around the roads near our school. Each group had 45 minutes of training.
The training was a practical road crossing session including topics such as identifying hazards and dangers on the pavement areas close to school, where to cross roads safely, and how to stay safe while walking.
The children really enjoyed their session and learnt much from the trainers.
