Norbury Manor Primary School: RE:SET Project Award

As part of this commitment, we are proud to announce that our school has been awarded the Healthy Relationships School Award through our partnership with Tender Education and Arts.

The RE:SET Project is a whole-school approach to promoting healthy relationships among pupils, staff, and families. Delivered in collaboration with Tender Education and Arts, this initiative supports our vision of developing learners today and leaders tomorrow by fostering respectful, safe, and caring interactions within our school community.

Tender supports us by delivering relationship education sessions across all year groups, providing our staff with the training and confidence needed to address sensitive and challenging topics that affect children, young people, and adults. This aligns with our school values of empathy, community, and thankfulness, as we encourage understanding and kindness throughout our school.

Drama-Based Workshops: Tender uses innovative drama workshops that allow pupils to "step into someone else’s shoes." These sessions help pupils recognise early warning signs of abuse and understand the qualities of healthy relationships from a safe distance. This experiential learning supports our value of scholarship, encouraging enquiring minds and critical thinking.

Pupil Leadership: A group of our pupils actively worked with the Tender team to explore what healthy relationships look like. They took the lead in:

  • Delivering a whole-school assembly to share their learning
  • Creating posters and stickers to promote positive relationships around the school

Family Engagement: Tender has also provided families with valuable information on how to support their children in building healthy relationships with themselves and others. This partnership reflects our belief in strong parent-school communication and community involvement, vital to our school ethos.

Community Incentives: All parents who attended Tender workshops were entered into a raffle. The winning family received a special gift hamper, celebrating their commitment to supporting their child’s wellbeing.
