End of Year Awards Celebration at Norbury Manor Primary School
As we approach the close of another successful academic year at Norbury Manor Primary School, we are delighted to share the highlights of our End of Year Awards celebration. This special event is a cherished tradition that recognises the hard work, resilience, and achievements of our pupils across all year groups. It is a moment to reflect on the values that guide us—resilience, empathy, scholarship, peace, excellence, community, and thankfulness—as we celebrate the learners today who are becoming the leaders of tomorrow.
Celebrating Attendance and Resilience
Attendance is a key foundation for success, and we are proud to acknowledge pupils who have demonstrated outstanding commitment to their learning by attending school every day throughout the year. These pupils were honoured with 100% Attendance Certificates, recognising their dedication and consistency.
We also celebrated those pupils who, despite facing attendance challenges, showed remarkable resilience—one of our core school values—by continuing to engage positively with their learning. Their determination embodies the spirit of never giving up and facing obstacles with courage.
Recognising Progress and Achievement
In line with our vision to foster enthusiastic, independent learners, we awarded pupils who made the most progress in key learning platforms:
- Mathletics – Celebrating mathematical growth and confidence.
- Reading Eggs and Reading Express – Honouring advances in reading skills and comprehension.
These achievements reflect our commitment to excellence and scholarship, encouraging pupils to always do their best and develop enquiring minds.
Sporting Excellence and Sportsmanship
Physical education and teamwork are vital to our holistic approach to education. We are proud to have recognised pupils through the Bfree programme for outstanding sportsmanship, demonstrating respect for others and the spirit of fair play.
Our Netball team also featured prominently, with team members selecting their own Player of the Year. This peer recognition highlights the importance we place on community and leadership within our school.
Special Awards and School Achievements
This year, Norbury Manor Primary School celebrated significant milestones:
- Achieving the RE:SET Healthy Relationship Award, recognising our commitment to fostering safe and respectful relationships among pupils.
- Becoming a recognised Nurture School by earning the Nurture School Award, highlighting our supportive and inclusive environment that nurtures every pupil’s emotional and social development.
Children who actively participated in these projects and assessments had the honour of presenting these awards, empowering them to take pride in their contributions and leadership.
House Team Spirit – Bailey Mathews House
Our Bailey Mathews House (Yellow House) was specially recognised for their outstanding resilience and team spirit. This house won gold at our very first House Teams Sports Day, an achievement celebrated by the whole school community.
Since their victory, Bailey Mathews House have exemplified empathy and community by congratulating and supporting other houses, reinforcing the values that make Norbury Manor a safe and welcoming place for all.
