Career Day Event – Inspiring Our Pupils for the Future
On 4th July 2025, Norbury Manor Primary School hosted a vibrant and engaging Career Day for all pupils across the school. This special event was designed to bring our school values to life, particularly Scholarship, Resilience, and Community, by inspiring pupils to think about their futures and the many possibilities that lie ahead.
Highlights of the day included:
-
Year 5’s ‘Guess the Career’ Workshop: Pupils enthusiastically participated in an interactive workshop where they guessed various careers based on clues, sparking curiosity and critical thinking.
-
Insightful Presentations: We were honoured to welcome STEM volunteers, carers, parents, relatives, and members of our local community who shared their career journeys and insights. These live talks gave every class a unique opportunity to hear firsthand about diverse professions and the skills required to succeed.
-
Career-Themed Activities: Across the school, pupils engaged in a range of creative and educational activities linked to different careers, helping to deepen their understanding and appreciation of various fields.
-
Dream Career Dress-Up: Pupils dressed up in clothing representing their dream careers, adding a fun and imaginative element to the day while encouraging them to think ambitiously about their futures.
This Career Day was a perfect example of Norbury Manor’s commitment to being a place where “learners today, leaders tomorrow” thrive. By exposing pupils to a broad spectrum of careers and encouraging them to engage actively, we nurture their enthusiasm for learning and independent thinking — key aspects of our vision.
Pupils learned that success often comes from perseverance and facing challenges with determination.
