A Visit from Theo Paphitis and the British Dyslexia Friendly Association
On 12 September 2024, Norbury Manor Primary School, a maintained school in Croydon, was honoured to host a visit from renowned entrepreneur and TV personality Theo Paphitis, along with the team from the British Dyslexia Association (BDA).
Empowering Dyslexic Learners Theo Paphitis, who himself is dyslexic, is a passionate advocate for supporting individuals with dyslexia. Through his work with the BDA, he is committed to raising awareness and ensuring that schools, teachers, and families have the resources and guidance to effectively support dyslexic children.

This framework helps us enhance our understanding of dyslexia and develop the support we offer to all our learners, including those with dyslexia. The Visit in Focus During their visit, Theo Paphitis and the BDA team toured our school, observed our teaching strategies, and spoke with some of our pupils. They were particularly interested in the ways we support our dyslexic learners and ensure they have the resources and opportunities to reach their full potential.
