Fun Clubs & Enrichment
At Norbury Manor Primary School, we believe that learning and personal development extend beyond the classroom. Our Fun Clubs and Enrichment Programme gives children opportunities to discover new interests, develop their talents, build friendships and learn new skills.
Throughout the school week, children can take part in a wide range of activities, including sport, STEM, coding, music, art, performing arts, strategy games and creative activities.
Our programme includes after-school clubs, clubs and enrichment during the school day, lunchtime clubs and pupil-led clubs, providing different opportunities for children to get involved.
Why Do We Offer Fun Clubs?
Taking part in clubs and enrichment activities supports children's wider development and gives them opportunities to:
- discover new interests and talents;
- develop confidence and independence;
- build friendships across classes and year groups;
- develop teamwork, communication and leadership;
- use creativity and problem-solving skills;
- develop physical skills and support their wellbeing;
- practise our RESPECT values in different situations; and
- apply their Skills Builder essential skills beyond the classroom.
We want children to have opportunities to try something new, develop the things they already enjoy and discover talents they may not have known they had.
After-School Fun Clubs
Our after-school clubs provide children with opportunities to continue learning, creating, performing and being active once the school day has finished.
Some clubs are led by Norbury Manor Primary School staff, while others are delivered by specialist coaches and external providers.

Booking an After-School Club
Places in some clubs are limited and some activities have an additional charge.
Parents/carers will receive information about how to book, costs, start and finish times and any clothing or equipment their child may need.
Our club programme may change during the year as new opportunities become available. Please check the latest information provided by the school when booking a club.
Clubs & Enrichment During the School Day
Not all of our enrichment opportunities take place after school. Children can also participate in activities during lunchtimes and at other points during the school day.
This helps us to provide opportunities for children who may not be able to remain at school for an after-school activity.

Rocksteady Band
Rocksteady gives children an opportunity to experience making music as part of a band.
Children can develop their musical skills while also building confidence, listening, teamwork and performance skills.
Information about joining Rocksteady, including any costs, is shared with parents/carers separately.
Pupil-Led Lunchtime Clubs
At Norbury Manor Primary School, we want children to have opportunities not only to take part in activities but also to lead them.
As the year develops, pupils will be invited to suggest ideas for their own lunchtime clubs. Children will have the opportunity to discuss their ideas with a school leader and, with appropriate adult support and supervision, help to plan and lead activities for other pupils.
Pupil-led clubs provide a meaningful opportunity for children to develop their leadership, speaking, listening, teamwork, creativity, organisation and problem-solving skills.
They also give children an opportunity to contribute directly to school life by sharing their own interests and talents with others.

Our pupil-led lunchtime clubs have not started yet. Details of the clubs available will be added to this page once pupils have developed their ideas and the clubs are ready to begin.
Spotlight on Warhammer Club
What is Warhammer Club?
Our Warhammer Club is available to pupils in Years 5 and 6 on Mondays after school.
Warhammer combines model building and painting with imaginative tabletop games. Children can design and paint miniature models and learn how to play games that involve planning, decision-making and strategy.
Through these activities, children have opportunities to develop skills including:
- creativity and attention to detail;
- patience and perseverance;
- strategic thinking;
- problem solving;
- communication; and
- teamwork.

Something for Everyone
We want our enrichment programme to provide a broad range of opportunities so that children with different interests, strengths and talents can find something they enjoy.
Whether a child enjoys sport, music, performing, designing, creating, coding, strategy games, problem solving or leading others, we want them to feel encouraged to participate, challenge themselves and try something new.
Taking part is also another opportunity for children to demonstrate our RESPECT values and develop their Skills Builder essential skills.
Our clubs and enrichment programme supports our school motto:
