Pupil Premium

Pupil Premium is additional funding provided to schools to improve educational outcomes for disadvantaged pupils. At Norbury Manor Primary School, we use this funding strategically to help remove barriers to learning, accelerate progress and raise attainment.

The funding supports eligible pupils, including children who are currently or have previously been eligible for free school meals, previously looked-after children and children looked after by the local authority. The funding is used alongside high-quality teaching, targeted academic support and wider strategies that address barriers to pupils’ learning, attendance, wellbeing and participation.

Our approach is based on the needs of our pupils. We regularly review the impact of our provision and use assessment, attendance and other school information to ensure that support is making a positive difference.

For the 2026–27 financial year, the Pupil Premium rates for primary-aged pupils are £1,550 for pupils eligible for free school meals, or who have been eligible during the previous six years, and £2,690 for previously looked-after children. Funding for children currently looked after by the local authority is also £2,690 per pupil and is managed by the local authority.
