Friday 13 February 20262026 Safety Challenge WeekDuring the week beginning Monday 9th February 2026, Norbury Manor Primary School held an engaging Safety Challenge Week. Our pupils participated in a variety of vital workshops, including online safety sessions, a BBC Live Event, and interactive quizzes. Students also explored chatbots and the 'Talk PANTS' initiative, which empowers them to understand that their bodies belong to them and encourages them to speak to a trusted adult if they ever feel worried.

Mr Lawrence's campsite skills were put to the test as children enjoyed the crisp outdoors, with Ms Williams noting that the highlight for many was the chance to toast their very own marshmallows.

This vibrant event was a fantastic opportunity for our pupils to delve into the rich tapestry of cultures that make up our school community. Children explored different languages, art, crafts, music, and traditional dance, and learned the meaning behind various flags. Parents and carers were actively involved, sharing their own cultures with the classes, and the children wore traditional customs or flag colours for a spectacular display. The event culminated in a wonderful feast.
Wednesday 1 October 20252025 Grandparent EventIt was a joy to host our recent Grandparent Event on September 30th and October 1st, where we celebrated the wonderful role grandparents play in our pupils' lives! Grandparents and pupils shared heartwarming moments through arts, crafts, and games, with delicious treats and drinks enjoyed by all. This event truly embodied our school value of Community. We aim to help our children develop a responsible and caring attitude towards their school, local community, and the wider world, and seeing generations connect so positively was a beautiful testament to this.

Monday 15 September 2025Year 6 Engages with Transport for LondonWe are thrilled to share that our Year 6 pupils recently participated in an insightful Transport for London (TfL) Workshop on 15th September 2025. This fantastic session was designed to promote safe, active, and responsible travel, covering essential topics like road safety, active transport (walking, cycling, scooting), and secure use of public transport. The workshop is a key part of our commitment to preparing our children for future, independent travel and supports their development beyond the classroom.
