2025 Year 2 Tower of London Trip
As part of our Year 2 pupils' study of the Great Fire of London, they recently organised a trip to the iconic Tower of London, where they had the opportunity to explore the history and significance of this remarkable landmark.
During the trip, our Year 2 pupils were able to see many of the landmarks they had learned about in their lessons, including the River Thames, London Bridge, and the famous Tower of London itself. The children were captivated by the rich history of the city, and they eagerly listened as our knowledgeable tour guides shared fascinating stories about the Tower's past.
In addition to the guided tour, our pupils also participated in a special workshop at the Tower of London. This interactive session allowed them to delve deeper into the events of the Great Fire of London, using role-play and hands-on activities to better understand the challenges faced by the people of 17th-century London. The children were engaged and enthusiastic, demonstrating the school's commitment to fostering a love of learning.
